Mission
The trend of fast furniture - furniture made from cheap materials and intended to be used for only a short period of time - is having a devastating impact on our environment. Did you know that more than 23 million tons of furniture are thrown away every year in the European Union and the US alone? 90% of this is incinerated or ends up in landfills. Only a small portion is recycled.

The production of fast furniture also regularly uses illegally harvested wood and toxic substances are used for assembly and finishing. In addition, many furniture and upholstery fabrics are produced under forced labor or child labour.

We believe that buying second-hand furniture is a great way to reduce your personal impact on the environment. After all, vintage furniture is often timeless, accessible, unique, and made to last a lifetime.
About Us
Sputnik Vintage is the passion project of Joke and Erik, founded in 2020.
​
We loved going to markets looking for one-of-a-kind pieces, but we ended up buying so many things that we couldn't possibly keep them all ourselves.
​
We only buy and sell what we really like. We don't limit ourselves to a particular style or designer. Above all, we have to fall in love with the items we find. All our items are carefully checked and restored if necessary.

Sputnik Vintage is based in Belgium, so we have easy access to other European markets, such as the German, French or Dutch. If you are looking for something specific, you can always contact us and maybe we can help you find the item of your dreams!
